Last month, I ordered a handful of air plants, planning to affix them to the wreath used in my Home Depot project. I didn't end up using them on the wreath, but have been having so much fun placing them in random places around the house. For awhile now (probably a couple of years, when I first began seeing them around), I'd considered getting some, but usually see them in settings different than my typical aesthetic, and I just never prioritized it. Well, now that I have them, I can see how great they are! Low-maintenance plants are what I need, and let me tell you - these are about as easy as it gets! They just need a good soak every 1-2 weeks. Other than that, you're free to sprinkle them from room to room as you please. :) A spot of greenery is a good idea in every room of the house!
I'm gradually getting some Christmas decor out, and it feels festive to me to display them in various candleholders. You guys know I'm a fan of keeping things simple, and it doesn't get much simpler than this!
They'd make a fun Christmas gift! You could include some type of vessel to hold them, or not! It's hard to see, but in addition to the candlesticks, I have them in black wooden tea light holders as well, above. (Amazon has a great variety of air plants, aka tillandsia.)
